If you haven’t checked out the Lakefront Brewery Tour in Milwaukee yet, you need to! Since I’ve been living in Wisconsin for about 4 years now I thought that it was time for me to go on a brewery tour. It is Wisconsin after all! A friend and I went to the Lakefront Brewery. It was affordable, informational, and more than anything it was FUN! $7 got us into the tour, 4 6oz beers, and a souvenir pint glass!! This was the perfect thing to do on a Friday night!
Sunday was such a surreal day. I graduated from Carthage College with a bachelors degree in public relations and communications. I couldn’t believe how fast the past four years went by, and it’s scary to know that I am in “the real world”. I started my internship at Diversey Inc. in Sturtevant, wi. I am a marketing communications intern specializing in the company’s social media. Everyone at Diversey has been so helpful, and I know that I will learn an endless amount of valuable information while interning with them. I can’t wait to see what is to come for me in the future. Change is inevitable, it’s how you adapt that sets you apart in the world. Congratulations class of 2012 and good luck to you all!
You have to try this recipe! It’s a perfect salad for the summer season! Refreshing and delicious!
1 red pepper (you can use any color you prefer)
1 seedless cucumber
1 large tomato
1/2 red onion
1/2 loaf of day old italian bread
-Heat up EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) in medium frying pan (enough to cover pan)
-Cut 1/2 loaf of day old Italian bread into cube sized pieces (these are your salad’s croutons)
-Throw croutons into oil and let crisp up for 5 minutes or so (make sure to flip the croutons over to crisp all sides)
-Salt and pepper croutons for seasoning
-Cut up pepper, seedless cucumber & tomato into cube sized pieces
-Cut half onion into moon shaped pieces
-1 tbspn of grey poupon mustard
-1 tbspn of honey
-4 tbspn of rice wine vinegar
-Juice squeezed from 1/2 a lemon
-1 tspn of salt
-1 tspn of pepper
-Stir in 4 tbspn of EVOO until dressing is thoroughly combined
Combine salad ingredients with crisped croutons. Pour dressing over salad. Combine. Let salad sit for 2 hours before serving to allow ingredients to soak up dressing.
Serve and enjoy!
Today I ordered my graduation dress, and I cannot express how excited I am for it to arrive on my door step! I know it seems superficial for me to be so excited over a dress, but this dress is beautiful! I know that it will make my graduation day even more memorable. Speaking of graduation, how fast did these last four years fly by?! I can remember crying in the back seat while my parents drove me up to school, begging them to turn the car around. Thankfully they refused to do so, and I have had a wonderful college experience at Carthage College.
Anyways… Here’s the dress!
So this is my first post and blogging will definitely be a learning experience for me. I have never managed a blog before, but I am looking forward to doing so.
